A community maker space where anyone can use professional tools, learn hands-on skills, and join a community of makers for less than the cost of a streaming subscription.
Most people can't justify a $600 table saw for one project. Or a welder. Or a laser cutter. But a whole community can share them — and share the knowledge of how to use them.
Shared professional tools across woodworking, welding, sewing, electronics, 3D printing, and fabrication. Open to all members during staffed hours.
~ 2,000 sq ftSix to ten private rentable studios inside the larger building. A consistent personal space for makers and small creative businesses.
120 sq ft eachAn art and sensory space for kids ages 4–8 with sightlines back to the studios — so parents can work while their children create alongside them.
~ 250 sq ftThis list is aspirational. Final equipment depends on Legacy donations, founding-member feedback, and the Community Equipment Fund. Members will help decide what comes next.
Want a tool you don't see here? Members can pool small contributions to unlock new equipment together — contributors get priority access and recognition on the machine.
Founding members lock in $35 per month for life — a rate that will never increase as long as your membership stays active. You get a permanent founding-member number, your name on the founding wall at launch, first access to classes and studios, and your first class free.
No payment is collected today. This is a good-faith commitment that can be withdrawn any time before launch. If we don't open within 24 months, the commitment is released with no obligation.
Some of the most valuable things in our community are sitting in basements and garages — beautiful, well-worn tools collected over a lifetime by people who truly know how to use them. Our Legacy Workshop Program offers something better than an estate sale: a living legacy.
Donor families receive free lifetime membership. Their craftsperson's name is placed permanently on the collection. And if they're able, they come in to teach and advise on their own terms. When they're gone, the craft keeps teaching.
